Residential Horse Training and Riding Courses

Residential clinics have been described as "the best equine education holiday in Australia".

From 2 day/one night stays to a number of weeks - you choose what best suits you. Residential clinics are personally tailored to meet the needs of those involved and provide an excellent environment to make real progress in a short space of time.

Bring your horse(s) along and stay in the beautiful Kangadoo Cottage. After a full and busy day of lessons and learning, relax by the pool or around the billiard table, have a BBQ on the cottage balcony or visit a local restaurant.

Kate regularly runs clinics covering things including but not limited to: confidence (in both rider and horse), Raising the Bar (getting to the next level in your chosen discipline), foundation work (for the young horse and those needing re-education) and round pen/ground work.

If you are coming from interstate or overseas and you are unable to bring a horse, Kate can sometimes supply horses for you.

Prices start from $200 a day and include a full day's training and fully self-catering accommodation. This reduces to $180 a day each when you have 2 people and $150 a day for 3-4 people in a group that you organise, which is maximum allowed for residential clinics to ensure that all participants get the most possible from the experience. Why not get a group together and plan your next holiday?

I did a 3 day clinic at Kangadoo and really enjoyed it. Both my horse and I learned so much!!
Also, the cottage is lovely.

My horse and I had a fabulous time. This is the experience we had been longing for! I know that the clinic has strengthened the bond between us as well as given me the tools needed to be an effective communicator. I love the fact that Kate tailored each lesson according to our individual needs. Kate's hospitality, knowledge and honesty are to be commended. We both thank you for our experience and we will be back to further our training.

You asked me what I wanted to do in the next clinic - I want to be able to half-pass, travers and shoulder-in. In the first clinic I got all of these movements but I want to perfect them - keeping tempo, rhythm and frame. I find it hard to imagine anything more exciting, however maybe a roll-back and flying changes!
