Trainer's Eye Video

Kate Fenner - Thursday, November 28, 2013

Click on the photo above to view today's video.

Today's video was taken with the head cam to give you a better idea of what it is like in with TJ during his training sessions. It is a little long, 11 minutes, as I wanted to include the entire session.

I need to adjust the camera a little but I would be interested in your feedback about using this particular camera (please do leave a comment below). I have not voiced over at all so that you can get an idea of how I use my voice, which with a domesticated horse is positive reinforcement straight away but this has to be learned for the brumby.

The horse owes me nothing; he is not my employee and neither of these things are constructs that the horse could comprehend. I have made all of the decisions about what I want the horse to do and it is now my job to convince him that it is a good idea.

I enjoyed watching the footage Kate, makes a nice change from the standard video format.Really makes you appreciate how you need to be ready for those changes in direction, especially when you're on his offside! What is it anyway? A go pro?

Great Victoria.
The camera is actually a POV.HD so same thing as a go pro really.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback.
