Kandoo-Kansay

Engaging the Brain

Kate Fenner - Sunday, November 24, 2013

Click on the photo above to watch the short video.

Today's lesson for TJ involved getting closer to him and helping him relax when I am standing further towards his hindquarters.

The lesson is not about flooding the horse or forcing him to stand still. It is all about engaging his brain and teaching him to think first and react second - a concept he is beginning to understand as you will see when he relaxes and slows down towards the end of the lesson.

The full lesson, teaching both sides and working on leading, is available to Kandoo Club members on the Club site.
