Kandoo-Kansay

Pink Ride

Kate Fenner - Sunday, April 03, 2011

I received this text message yesterday:

“Hi Kate,

We survived the Pink Ride! Thank you for all your help. I used everything you taught us including hips to the water trough – with 400 horses walking around.

I’m so happy I could burst. We were put on the race track with 400 horses. I had so many comments on his beautiful frame when I put him in it. I can’t thank you enough – he was awesome!”

This was one of a few riders from a Kandoo Equine clinic, who, just a few sessions ago, would never have dreamed about being able to do this ride; not to mention with such control and confidence.

I put this on the blog today to encourage you to ask yourself about your progress with your horse. What are your goals? Can you see yourself and your horse reaching them? Whatever discipline you ride or aspire to, do you have to ‘tools of control’ that can get you safely through this type of situation – probably one of the most difficult and potentially dangerous you are likely to encounter.
