Kate Fenner - Monday, October 29, 2012
Kandoo Equine had a fabulous two days at the Murrumbateman Field Days with so much positive feedback and have set up numerous courses and clinics as a result.

A huge thank you to The Australian Stockyard Company for supplying the beautifully safe round pen and stalls for the stallions.

Some spaces remain on a new Foundation Course Clinic Series to be held at Kangadoo. The dates are as follows:
November: Sunday 11th and 18th, December Saturday 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th and January Saturday 5th and 12th.
The Foundation Course is suitable for a horse that is un-started as well as one that has poor foundation training or you are wanting to re-train, such as a horse off the track. If you would like to join the course please email Kate.

Foundation Courses lead to confidence in both horse and rider:

Confidence = Knowledge + Skill

Kate is in Canberra twice a month giving private and semi-private lessons all around the area. She is also in Bungendore twice a month and Mt Fairy. At least on day a fortnight is spent between Goulburn and Yass so if you would like to have a lesson in any of these areas please contact Kate to arrange a time and day that suits you.

The Kandoo Online Video Training Club now has over 70 training videos in the library. Each month one member wins a full length training video simply by submitting the best training question - which is answered in video format for all members to benefit from.
The cost is under $10 a month or less than $100 if you join for a year and has many other benefits including reduced prices on Training DVDs and Video Feedback Lessons.

A number of the Kandoo Horses will be offered for sale in 2013, including Harry (Kandoo Blue Toodooloo), Nugget (Beauleigh Showtime), Tally (Welsdale Kandoo It All) and Louis (Cayuse Edge Of Illusion).

Happy riding!

Please Take This Short Survey

Kate Fenner - Sunday, October 21, 2012

This survey is designed to help us learn more about the views we have about mares, geldings and stallions and what we’d choose when considering horses for various disciplines.  Furthermore, we are also seeking data on what we look for when choosing an ideal horse.  We have had a great response (>700 responses) but would love to hear from as many horse riders and owners as we possibly can.  Please pass it on to friends or family, everyone’s opinion helps it doesn't matter if you have never ridden a horse in your life - we would still love you to complete a survey! Some of the questions may seem overly simplistic if you’ve been around horses for a while, but there are opportunities to explain your views.

It’s a short survey with simple, easy-to-answer questions.  Responses are completely anonymous.

To complete the survey you just need to copy this link into your web browser and follow the instructions here:

Murrumbateman Update

Kate Fenner - Saturday, October 13, 2012

Kandoo Equine has managed to source two local problem loading horses and both demonstrations will go ahead as scheduled below. Unfortunately the Thoroughbred Sale did not prove successful and Kate has decided to start her young Andalusian gelding, Joker, under saddle during the course of the weekend. Joker has had just 3 hours work since his initial catching as a rising three year old.

Be sure to come and see Kate - have a chat, enter a competition and pick up a free demonstration DVD (while stocks last).

See you there - October 20th and 21st.

Working Equitation Competition

Kate Fenner - Sunday, October 07, 2012

The working equitation competition at SIEC on saturday was very well attended.

A video of some novice horses will be online soon.

Well done to everyone! Gosh, not as easy as it looks but what control you have when you get things right.

Fabulous discipline! SO much fun!
